On October 30th, Professor Xi Jiangtao, Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences at the University of Wollongong in Australia, visited our school to conduct a presentation on the "2+2" joint program. All students majoring in Communication Engineering attended the presentation.
During the meeting, Professor Xi began with the topic of how education can change lives, sharing his own academic and work experiences both domestically and internationally with the students. He encouraged students to focus on their studies during their youth and to develop a persistent quality of learning. Subsequently, he provided a detailed introduction to the Faculty of Engineering and Information Sciences, covering aspects such as the operational design of the program, research directions, course structure, and employment and further education prospects, expressing his anticipation of meeting the students in Wollongong soon. In the Q&A session, students actively asked questions about the overseas study model, teaching facilities, and admission requirements, to which Professor Xi responded one by one, creating a warm and harmonious atmosphere. The presentation allowed students to gain a deeper understanding of the significance and value of the Sino-foreign joint training program, helping to establish their confidence in studying abroad, and stimulating their enthusiasm and motivation for learning.
